WildBrain officially announced Series 16 in October 2023. While no new characters were introduced, the empasis was put into everything else.

Pontypandy Fire Station gains an upgrade with a new entrance bay and control room, and slides to enter in an emergency. The Mountain Rescue Centre also receives an upgrade with the addition of a vehicle bay to house the 4x4.

Alongside the upgraded Fire Station, the Pontypandy Fire Service gains a newly-redesigned Mobile Command Unit to their fleet of vehicles.

Most of the child characters also gain new outfits. Hannah Sparkes also gains a new voice actor in the form of Tia Chapman.
